
Clara Strunck is a freelance writer and journalist. She has experience writing news, features and interviews for magazines and national newspapers, including The Sunday Times Style, Tatler, ES Magazine, The Evening Standard, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, The Telegraph and Vogue Scandinavia, among others. She has also worked on refreshing brand editorial for companies such as Cartier and Bicester Village.

Clara graduated from St John’s College, Oxford, in 2014 with a BA in English and has a gold standard NCTJ Diploma in Journalism from the Press Association. After qualifying, she worked as a video news reporter at The Daily Star, associate content editor at boutique travel company Mr & Mrs Smith, editorial assistant to Lorraine Candy at The Sunday Times Style and features writer at ES Magazine before going freelance.
At Style, Clara wrote the Instagram book column #STYLEreads, the most saved piece of content on Style’s Instagram. She also helped to organise the partnership between Style and the UK premiere of Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time and collaborated with Style and The Sunday Times Magazine columnist India Knight on the research for her forthcoming book, Darling, out later this year.
As features writer at The Evening Standard’s ES Magazine, Clara wrote three popular weekly pages: Capital Gains (a round-up of what’s on in London), Flashbulb (the best parties in the capital) and Feast, where she profiled some of the city’s best chefs and food personalities including Jason Atherton, Jackson Boxer, Skye Gyngell, Asma Khan, Tom Aikens and Laura Jackson. She also wrote features, cover interviews and profiles for the magazine and the paper. In 2019, her feature on the world’s largest collection of magazines was selected by Articles Club as one of their ‘Good Reads’ of the week.
